Molecular characterization, adaptive evolution, and expression analysis of the Toll-like receptor gene family in Fenneropenaeus chinensis

Global warming is a challenge to animal health because of the increased environmental temperature, with subsequent induction immune suppression and susceptibility disease during summer. The Toll-like receptor (TLR) family an essential pattern recognition (PRR) that initiates innate response by sensing conserved molecular patterns pathogens. However, research on TLR gene in decapod crustaceans has been conducted sporadically, without systematic naming, relationship between pathogen immunity adaptation adaptive evolution immune-related genes unclear. In this study, various sequences were collected, unified name Fenneropenaeus chinensis was confirmed using sequence alignment. Structural characteristics evolutionary analyses performed, ten FcTLR identified F. chinensis. Protein domain analysis revealed proteins contain 4–25 LRR domains used recognize different Selection pressure TLR1 TLR9 subjected positive selection crustaceans, which may be related their resistance changes. Furthermore, expression detected following white spot syndrome virus (WSSV) infection. results demonstrated FcTLR1 , FcTLR7 FcTLR9 responded positively, also consistent protein analyses. This study provides new insights into TLRs prevent damage, such as pathogens high temperature.
